So what do you want to know? As I have mentioned in my previous blogs, I am obviously from the south, but Alabama to be exact. I was born and raised in the great town of Mobile, the originator of Mardi Gras. Everyone that lives here seems to have certain pride which is shown by their excitement of either the beach, Mardi Gras, or even the little things we have to offer.
When living in a town like Mobile, you need to realize that you are probably related to almost everyone somehow. I come from a very big and religious Catholic family that I am very proud of, but can’t seem to go out for a casual dinner without being introduced to your “second cousin twice removed”. Through thick and thin, I enjoy the large family and all it has to offer.
One of my favorite parts about growing up in Mobile is being so close to the water. Nothing beats the easy access of water front, whether it’s the river, bay, or beach. Every summer it’s like moving all of your belongings to one or the other. When I was very young, we used to go to my late grandfathers house on Mobile Bay and spend our long days on the wharf or out on the boat. As I grew up, my parents decided to build their own house and move over to Perdido Bay (which is near Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach). This is our home away from home that we enjoy greatly. Unfortunately, we have yet to build a wharf, but we still love riding our boat to Pirates Cove or Robinson Island and have a great time with all the locals there.
This is just a brief low-down on my life but I hoped you enjoyed.
